When Will Islam Attack Israel?

Immediately before His ascension to heaven, Christ’s disciples asked  Him a most important question about His promised return.  His reply is now of ultra importance, because we are presently living in the era to which Jesus referred. We are at the entry point to the Last Days of this current era. The very days to which Jesus referred.

Matthew 24:3-7 (NKJV)
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

One of the numerous signs to which Jesus referred was that the world would be filled with wars and rumours of wars. Throughout all human history there have been thousands of wars, but none so fearful as what Christ predicted there would be in the days immediately before His  return. As we observe the present state of the world it seems obvious that this particular sign is far more dangerous because of the proliferation of modern nuclear weaponry around the world. The potential of massive destruction is almost unbelievable. It could bring about the end of the world as we now know it. Of all the present possibilities, one war that is specifically predicted in the Bible concerns an end time attack on Israel launched by Islamic forces with the intent of conquering the Jewish state of Israel and taking over its territory to pave the way for a plan to rule the whole world under Sharia law. This attack will be conquered by Israel with the supernatural power invested in the “Angel of the Lord” who is actually the Messiah to whom Israel as a nation will ultimately surrender.

The whole world is currently under enormous stress and severest tension concerning the extremely uncertain future. So many threats are being made by nations that obviously possess powerful weapons of potential massive destruction. Iran for instance, already has sufficient weapons to annihilate millions of people both in Israel, and numerous other parts of the world. The most serious of these threats are coming from Islamic countries that are enthralled by their belief that their Mahdi (Islamic Messiah) will soon appear with the determined objective of ruling the whole world.  However, Iran, China and North Korea are also   nations that  also threaten world peace.  Only the Bible accurately predicts what the prophetic future holds for all humanity. However the world around us is currently in terrifying   confusion, regarding the immediate future. Several nations are predicting a massive war that will affect the whole world. Although greatly despised, the Bible is the only source of reliable information concerning the End Times and the great battle predicted.  One prophetic thing that will certainly happen will be an Islamic attack on Israel that will be finally defeated by the Lord of  Heaven’s armies that is foretold in Zechariah 12.

Islam is somewhat like  a two headed monster. The first head is obviously  religious, by which it seeks to be known to the world. It  actually seeks to be known as a “religion of peace”. However, the second head is political and military and is determined to conquer and rule the whole world by these means. The method by which Almighty God will break the power of Islam and end its bid to rule the world, is therefore by supernatural power and also by spiritual transformation. This is vividly illustrated in Zechariah 12, when God will first defeat and destroy the Islamic armies, and then pour out His Holy Spirit, first on Israel and then on all flesh. Islam is presently preparing to launch the attack on Israel predicted in Zechariah 12.

This  message is meant to be a positive penetrative look into the world’s prophetic future from a Biblical perspective, and an attempt to  discern what may happen in the very near future. It essentially concerns the prophetic destiny of Israel, Judaism, and   Christianity, plus the whole world. You may entirely disagree with this yet unprovable position, but I ask you to prayerfully search and diligently examine  the scriptures involved.  Only time will tell the accuracy or otherwise of this particular article. Either way it would be better to prayerfully prepare unnecessarily, than not to prepare at all.  The article clearly differs from the popular traditional Christian perspective of a pre Tribulation Rapture and suggests a very different possibility. I submit in this message  that Jesus will initially return to the Jews in Jerusalem, but what does the Bible actually say?  Islam is not merely a religion. In almost  every way it is unlike every religion on earth. It is  actually a political and military power which fanatically believes and ardently seeks for total world domination. As such it uses weapons and strategies of war in addition to its religious ideals that seeks total dominance  over all the nations on earth. Therefore to prevent its fanatical ambitions will require  both military power and spiritual  conversion. I wonder how many Christians and particularly Christian leaders, realize how  extremely serious and imminent the present situation is in the world today? Do they truly understand the tremendous forthcoming threat that Islam is to the population of the whole world? Do they fully understand that the threat, which  is constantly reiterated by the rulers of Islam, is not an empty one, but is actually already in the process of imminent fulfilment? Islamic growth is spreading very  rapidly in the Middle East and also throughout Europe and America. It’s obvious influence is suddenly appearing throughout much of the world.    How many Christians realize that Islam is not merely a religion and certainly not a religion of peace as Islam would has us believe?  If the Church worldwide does not quickly wake up to the fearful imminent danger of militant Islam, the whole world could be overthrown into an horrific  reign of terror. Zechariah 12:9-10, says that God will use both military power and spiritual conversion to powerfully overcome the threat of Islam.  In the early verses is described an attack on Israel by all the nations. The chapter then goes on to describe a supremely powerful victory achieved for Israel led by the Angel of the Lord. Zechariah declares that God will destroy all the armies that  launch the attack. Verse 9.

Zechariah 12:9-10 (NLT)
For on that day I will begin to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10  “Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died.

God’s Pathway To Israel’s  Glorious Victory

Zechariah 10:6-9 (NLT)
“I will strengthen Judah and save Israel; I will restore them because of my compassion. It will be as though I had never rejected them, for I am the LORD their God, who will hear their cries.
The people of Israel will become like mighty warriors, and their hearts will be made happy as if by wine. Their children, too, will see it and be glad; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD.
When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before.
Though I have scattered them like seeds among the nations, they will still remember me in distant lands. They and their children will survive and return again to Israel.

Zechariah 10:7-10 (NLT)
The people of Israel will become like mighty warriors, and their hearts will be made happy as if by wine. Their children, too, will see it and be glad; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD.
When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few who are left, they will grow as numerous as they were before.
Though I have scattered them like seeds among the nations, they will still remember me in distant lands. They and their children will survive and return again to Israel.
10  I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will resettle them in Gilead and Lebanon until there is no more room for them all.

 Defeating Islam

There presently appears to be no nation on earth that has the will power and determination to stop the threat of Islam. No earthly power seems to even recognize the ultimate reality of this horrific  threat, or its  stubborn determination to  ultimately conquer the whole world. The present persistent expansion of Islam  is  insidiously spreading in the most unlikely places on earth.  Perhaps Canada is one very clear example of this. Until very recently Canada appeared to be a bastion of  Western freedom, but with the latest change of  her Prime Minister,  the country has apparently completely changed in its  attitude to Islam.  It is now in total favour of accepting huge numbers of so called refugees with Islamic beliefs, who are actually advance troops of a coming invasion.  Sadly the USA has also been negatively affected  by retired President Obama. From a nation that was the leader of the free world, into it has become  a country that is riddled with ISIS training camps and Muslim lovers. These are dedicated to the overthrow of political freedom, replacing it with Islamic government and Sharia law. So many Churches and Christians in the Western world are acting as though all is well with the world and there is nothing to fear or to especially prepare for in the future. Their Church programs and activities are little  different now than they have been for the past 100 years. Although horrific things are transpiring in the Middle East and are beginning to happen in numerous places in the rest of the world, no serious alarm is being sounded in the Western world and little is changing there. I fervently wish that someone could blow a powerful  trumpet blast that would awaken the West to the imminent danger that is presently threatening the whole world. It is a danger that only God is capable of defusing and conquering. Suddenly it seems very apparent that only a direct powerful intervention of Almighty God can turn the tide of this disastrous situation to solve both the political and religious intentions of Islam. This is precisely what God intends to do according to Zechariah 12 and various other  Biblical prophesies. In the initial verses of Zechariah 12 is predicted a fierce attack that will be launched on Israel in the Last Days in order to demolish and completely conquer  Israel.  Following this is described a powerful victory in which Israel experiences a supernatural triumph that will totally defeat, conquer and humiliate the Islamic armies. The amazing nature of this victory will prove to all the world that Jehovah God rules the whole world and  has a remarkable historic relationship with Israel, in which He will defend Israel against any and all adversaries.  In addition to the effect the victory will have will be the unavoidable realization that the victory was achieved only because of this unique relationship that the Almighty God has forged with Israel.  This relationship will convince all Muslims that Yahweh, the God of the Bible, is the true creator of the universe and Saviour of all who trust in Him.  This realization will bring a multitude of  Muslims and people from all other religions into a living relationship with Yahweh.

The Muslims are already showing real signs of potential success even in nations like the USA, Canada,  the UK and Western Europe. They are also gravely affecting several other countries which they are systematically  taking over. Numerous countries like America are also becoming aware that Almighty God is extremely displeased with them and that His judgments possibly threatens their future. Sadly they do not appear to know how they may rectify this situation to bring their nation back to true repentance and reformation. The one thing that could transform the nations and bring about God’s favour instead of His judgment, would be a worldwide outpouring of His Holy Spirit that would produce true conviction and deep repentance. I firmly believe that worldwide revival and the imminent appearance of the promised Messiah is the only thing that can rescue mankind from imminent disaster. Numerous Christians today have a somewhat vague idea that a worldwide revival will occur in the End Time Last days. This hope is usually based on such scriptures as,

Joel 2:27-29 (NIV2011)
27  Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.
28  “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
29  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

However these people seem to have little  idea of how, where, and when this prediction may be fulfilled, this despite the fact that Joel’s prophecy and other Bible prophecies, are  obviously focused directly on Israel and its future. The fact is that most of the prophetic scriptures dealing with End Time prophecy are found in what we call the Old Testament, though most Christians apparently ignore this fact. Such prophecies are usually about Israel’s amazing role in the prophetic future. The Bible is literally filled with powerful prophetic predictions about the future. The majority of these predictions are in the Old Testament and are initially made concerning Israel’s prophetic future. This particular scripture clearly infers that in the Last Days, God’s Spirit will be poured out, firstly upon Israel, and afterwards on all flesh. (Zechariah 12:10)

Many  threats concerning the End Times are  coming against all parts of the world including USA, Canada, UK,  and Europe, and are related directly to the Middle East and what is currently transpiring there. To a great extent what happens there in the very imminent future, will undoubtedly powerfully affect the remainder of the world in an absolute and catastrophic  manner.  Even while you read  this message, the world is on the very edge of  cataclysmic events. This upheaval will come  in an extremely shattering manner for many more nations than most people presently realize. Everyone should prepare for it in  the most appropriate ways. Christians should prepare for it by realizing that it will  definitely focus initially on Israel. The potential catastrophe could be a successful prelude to Islam’s determined attempt  to completely subjugate the whole world by initially conquering Israel, in preparation for the arrival of their Mahdi. If this aim could be fully realized, it would negatively and dramatically affect the whole world forever. Spiritual darkness would forever cover all mankind. However Isaiah 60:1 predicts that when such profound spiritual darkness covers the earth, a supernatural light will shine on Jerusalem.  The  Church generally is not yet convinced whether or not this could possibly happen. Hence a world-wide feeling of fearful dread and uncertainty prevails.  If such an Islamic   victory could actually happen, it would cause  the destruction of every Synagogue and Church on earth, and the death by execution of every Jew and Christian.  This in itself would hugely shatter the present  world beyond recognition.

Two possibilities presently confront the world. One possibility is that Islam could successfully defeat Israel to conquer and possess their land. Fortunately such a possibility is actually an impossibility, but only because God will manifest His total supremacy by successfully defeating the armies that will attack Israel.  The second possibility is the one that will definitely happen, which is the dramatic defeat of Islam. This is clearly foretold in the Bible, particularly in Zechariah 12 and Psalm 83. These chapters vividly foretell the subsequent recognition by Israel of her Messiah and deliverer.

Israel’s Victory Over Islam

The supernatural victory described in Zechariah 12 proves that the Messiah, in the person of the “Angel of the Lord” will defeat the Islamic attack launched on Israel in the Last Days in which we are presently living.  Israel is currently living under a very real and persistently volatile threat of total annihilation and conquest. The threat emanates from a dedicated group of nearby Islamic nations whose initial plan is to completely conquer Israel, bringing its whole territory under absolute  Islamic control. After this they plan to conquer and subjugate the USA, Britain, and finally the whole world. This is not mere fiction or fantasy, its supporters are real and fanatically dedicated to fulfil this plan or die in the process. Most Muslims love death because death in the battle for Islamic rule, they believe will afford them  an eternity of peace with numerous prizes such as thousands of virgins for their pleasure. Iran has already installed thousands of missile launchers in Southern Lebanon, just over Israel’s northern border, each one targeting nominated areas across the whole of Israel. What kind of man made defence system would be capable of successfully intercepting and destroying them all?  These numerous missiles are not the only weapons that Iran has access to. That maniacal nation has many other weapons that could be readily used now and in the near future.  The only defence system that could be 100% successful against them would be a direct supernatural one used by Almighty God which is exactly what God proposes to use according to Zechariah 12 and Psalm 83. It specifically describes what will happen in Israel in the present last days.

God Will Repay Islam After Their Own Kind

Joel 3:4 (NKJV)
 “Indeed, what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia? Will you retaliate against Me? But if you retaliate against Me, Swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head;

In this verse God speaks to two regions adjacent to Israel which are presently occupied by Islamic forces that are constantly threatening Israel, bombarding it almost daily with rockets and threatening to destroy the whole nation. The areas are Tyre and Sidon (in Southern Lebanon) and Philistia which is the Gaza strip. God announces His judgment on these two strongholds of Islam that are outposts of Iran, launching the earliest attacks of what is intended to be the first stages of the attack mentioned in Zechariah 12.

A  Prediction Of Some Of The End Times Events

Zechariah 12:1 (NKJV)
The burden of the word of the LORD against (concerning)  Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him:

V1 describes the immediate future of Israel directly from the mouth of Yahweh the Lord God, who created the heavens and the earth and formed the spirit of man within him. Since He is powerful enough  to create the universe, He is certainly powerful enough to assure its continuation. In fact He is the Only One capable of defeating this massive fierce attack.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Zechariah predicts an End times attack on Israel by a company of Islamic nations seeking to conquer and destroy Israel but discovering that Jerusalem is like a huge rock that cannot possibly be removed.  This attack will obviously be inspired and motivated by Iran. However, God will tear the attacking nations in pieces.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

In that day, God will defeat the attacking forces smiting them with blindness, astonishment and madness. They will behave like drunkards rather than a disciplined  army. Their consequent defeat will be astonishing and complete.

In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

The Israel Defence Forces will quickly realise that the Lord of Hosts will be with them and be their strength.  He will literally and powerfully fight on Israel’s behalf. They will become like fiery torches in a field of dry sheaves, destroying all before them on the right hand and the left.

And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

Even those citizens’ who are the most feeble among the Jews, both juvenile and elderly, will become as strong and resolute as ancient King David. They will all be led by “The Angel of the Lord” who will lead them into a glorious, supernatural victory.

The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

The Eternal Omnipotent God will determine to destroy all the armies that attack Israel. The actual nations will not be destroyed. Many of these Islamic nations will actually bring peace offerings to Yahweh in Jerusalem. (Isaiah 60)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

The most amazing event on this miraculous prophetic day, will be the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the whole nation.  The outpouring of grace and intercession will cause the entire nation to repent before Messiah, whose identity will be discovered when Israel see the  scars caused by His wounding in ancient Jerusalem. They will all mourn over him as for an only son.
Numerous modern “prophets” commenting on this attack, have said that Israel will suffer enormous  casualties. However, Zechariah 12 actually predicts that it will Israel’s enemies who will suffer massive  casualties, while no Israeli casualties are mentioned in this prophetic chapter. Actually, in verse 9 we are told that “God will seek to destroy all the armies that come against Israel”.

Evidences of  Divine Victories

Zechariah 12:1-14 (NKJV)
And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
In that day,” says the LORD, “I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.
And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of hosts, their God.’
In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place–Jerusalem.
“The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah.
In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them.
It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Almost all the nations on earth will be together against Israel.

God will strike these armies with blindness, confusion and madness.

The leaders of Israel will recognise that the Lord their God is truly with them

Israel will be as a flaming torch igniting the enemy on the right and left hand

The Lord will defend Jerusalem whose citizens will be like King David

The Lord will make the citizens young and old, like King David

God has determined to destroy ALL the armies that come against Jerusalem.

The whole world is currently under the  very real threat of ultimate  domination under Islam. The group presently calling itself ISIS, or the Islamic State, together with many other nations, is rapidly approaching the moment when it will launch this  fierce attack on Israel, intended to be the first of many more conquests. The only nation that did seem capable of offering a possible solution to this horrific possibility was the USA, sadly this possibility disappeared under President Obama.  Fortunately America under President Trump, has now obviously joined the ranks of those nations that have a very different perspective.  We may wait to see the result of this.

Almost all the nations on earth today are now clearly anti-Israel, believing that world peace will be impossible to attain while Israel remains as a nation, particularly in the Middle East. The task of saving and delivering Israel from total destruction now falls upon God who has called Himself the Holy One of Israel. According to the Bible, God will definitely intervene, not only to deliver Israel from destruction, but also to reveal Himself to the nation as the long promised Messiah who was crucified in Jerusalem.  God’s promise to defend Israel occurs in many parts of the  Bible. How and when might all this happen?  Ancient Bible prophecies supply the answers.

An Islamic victory  is certainly not the  prediction of Bible prophecy. In fact the exact opposite is true. In the  Bible, both Israel and the Church will experience a glorious  prophetic climax to this present age. Bible prophets actually vividly describe an amazing supernatural victory for Israel over all her nearby Muslim neighbors and then a time of great spiritual harvest for Israel and the Church.  Bible prophecies also predict an amazing spiritual transformation of Israel and the joining together of the Church and Israel. This is basically what we will now consider in this somewhat brief message.

Everyone should earnestly look directly to God for  reliable advice for this super critical time. I am sure that you have recognized that the title of this message comes in the form of a very challenging question. However, the foremost question is if there is to be an End Time revival, how will it actually happen?  Is it possible that such a revival/harvest  may begin in Israel?  I realize that many Christians will immediately deny this possibility.  Many  such people do  not believe this likelihood   because they believe that God has completely finished with Israel replacing  Israel with the Church. Many others because they are convinced that the Rapture of the Church will be the next item on God’s agenda and all Christians will be immediately whisked off to heaven.  This is known as “Replacement Theology” a view still held by much of the Church.

A David And Goliath Battle

When this predicted attack is finally launched against Israel there will be an enormous difference in the size of the opposing armies to that of Israel. Natural reasoning in the light of this huge difference, when the multiplied millions of the enemies attacking tiny Israel, are compared to the nation’s total 7 million people of Israel’s population, might  suggest that victory for Israel might be absolutely impossible. The fact that these enemies are armed with the latest rockets, bombs and even nuclear weapons adds to the apparent inevitability of defeat for Israel.  However God asks the question “Is it impossible for the Lord of heaven’s armies?”  The answer is obviously no, it is not impossible. For nothing is impossible to God and the armies of heaven. The story of David and Goliath exemplifies the battle predicted and  described  in Zechariah 12.

Jesus And His Post Resurrection Disciples

Shortly after His resurrection Jesus met with a number of His disciples among whom a vital conversation began.  Here we can see the exact words  predicted about Jesus before His ascension to heaven. How important they must be.

Acts 1:6-11

6 So when they met together, they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”  (from The New International Version)

Jesus ascended towards heaven from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

He was taken from the midst of a group of Jewish believers.

He will return initially to a similar group of Jewish believers.

He will initially be recognized as the true King of Israel.

He will ultimately become the King over all nations on earth.

The Angel Of The Lord Appears

Whenever  the “Angel of the Lord” appears throughout the Bible, it is usually an appearance of the Messiah in a  visible form. I believe that such is the case in Zechariah 12, where He appears to defeat Israel’s enemies after which He appears to the citizens of the house of David when they “look upon Him.”

Zechariah 12:10 NET

10 “I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.

The phrase “look to Me” otherwise translated look upon Him, infers much more than a passing glance. It strongly declares a careful inspection of the One who was previously pierced in Jerusalem. It implies a direct recognition of the Messiah, who was the one who was historically pierced at Calvary.

The Messiah’s Return To Earth

Angels predicted that Jesus would return to earth as they had seen Him go. His return would evidently be to Jerusalem, from where He departed.  Joel also describes such an event when Yeshua would be “In the midst of Israel”.  I believe that Jesus may remain in Israel after His Zechariah 12 appearance and that the description of what transpired is recorded by Joel.

Joel 2:20 -21 (NKJV)
20  “But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odour will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.”
21  Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvellous things!

Following this divine bestowal of God’s goodness on Israel, the early part of which we have witnessed in Israel since May 1948, Israel has been singularly blessed by God in this time period through the remarkable agricultural resurrection and prosperity that has been demonstrated.

In  Joel 2:27, Jesus is clearly “In the midst (Hebrew qereb) of the people of Israel.”  Could His presence  there have happened soon after He led Israel to the amazing victory recorded in Zechariah 12?  Zechariah 12:10 certainly seems to confirm that He remained in Israel after achieving that victory. (In Zechariah 12:10,  it states “they shall look upon Me.”)

This amazing event happened in Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives.  Jesus certainly did not deny that He would restore the Kingdom to Israel. He clearly said that it would not happen immediately, but at some time in the future.  The angels said Jesus would return as they had seen Him go. However, the time that He would return was not then to be made known.  As He had left from Jerusalem, so He would return to Jerusalem.

A Promise Of God

Zechariah 8:6-7

6 This is what the Lord  of Armies says All this may seem impossible to you now, a small remnant of God’s people. But is it impossible to Me? Says the Lord of heavens Armies?
7. This is what the Lord of heavens Armies says:  You can be sure that I will rescue My people from the East and from the West: I will bring them home again to live in safety in JerusalemThey will be My people, and I will be faithful and just towards them as their God.

The huge migration of Jewish people to Israel from all parts of the earth has been happening during the past approximately 70 years. So it will also  be that God will cause them to live in safety in Jerusalem and that He will be faithful and just towards them as their God. According to Zechariah 12:7, The Lord will successfully defend the people of Jerusalem whose descendants will become like God Himself,  and will be led by the Messiah in the person of the Angel of the Lord. At that time, the whole world will witness the supernatural victory that God will grant to His ancient covenant people.  It will be unlike any military victory that has ever been previously won.  It will completely demoralize all the nations involved in the attack. In some form God will be literally “among His people Israel”  to the degree that His people will never again be disgraced.  The whole world will become dramatically aware of the supreme authority of God. I believe that at the same time that Zechariah 12:10 is being fulfilled, other aspects of this same war are also being experienced. For example Joel describes some further aspects of the same war. His prophecy confirms again that God will at that time be “In the midst of His people Israel”.

Joel 2:27 Then you will know that I am among My people Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and there is no other. Never again will My people be disgraced.
28. Then after doing all those things, I will pour out My Spirit on all people, (Flesh)  your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
29 In those days I will pour out My Spirit, even on servants, men and woman alike.
30 And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke.
31 The sun will become dark and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible Day of the Lord arrives.
32 But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for some on Mount Zion Jerusalem will escape just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called.

Details of God’s presence and power in this attack are also mentioned in Psalm 83. The last verses of this Psalm describe the victory that God will achieve for Israel.

Psalm 83:15-18 (NKJV)
15  So pursue them with Your tempest, And frighten them with Your storm.
16  Fill their faces with shame, That they may seek Your name, O LORD.
17  Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18  That they may know that You, whose name alone is Yahweh the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.

What God Promises To Israel And Her People

Joel 2:27, God will be among “in the midst”  of the people of Israel

He promises to pour out His Spirit on all flesh.

There will be dramatic signs in the heavens and on earth.

Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.

Many Jews on Mount Zion will be saved.

This may also be what Joel described in verse 31? Such occurrences in past history have usually been accompanied by remarkable supernatural events,  powerfully and favourably affecting Israel. Does Joel 2:31 suggest that such a phenomena will  accompany the events that will happen as predicted in Joel 2:31 when everyone in Jerusalem who calls on the Name of the Lord will be “saved?”

Isaiah 60 Directly Addresses Israel

We have probably often heard many Christian preachers read and preach from Isaiah 60:1, but they have usually applied it directly to the Church and also often to themselves. However the end of chapter 59 makes it very clear that this prediction is made to Israel not to the Church. The remainder of chapter 60 also makes this absolutely clear.  Why can we not recognize this clear fact?  Without acknowledging this fact we may never properly understand how the End Time scenario will eventuate.  Isaiah 60:1 actually begins in the previous chapter stating that the Messiah will come to Zion.

Isaiah 59:19-21

19 From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.

20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the LORD.

21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever,” says the LORD.

What is recorded in Isaiah 60:1 is actually an immediate  continuation of the preceding chapter, i.e. Isaiah 59:19-21. (When the Bible was originally written, there were no chapter divisions.)  Verses 20 and 21 clearly states that “the Redeemer” will come to Zion, (Jerusalem) to everyone who repents of their sins. God also declares that His covenant will remain in the mouths of  Israel’s descendants forever.

Isaiah 60:1-3 (New Living Translation)

1 “Arise, shine, Jerusalem, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Isaiah 60:1 is a favourite verse of many preachers who inevitably apply it directly to the Church and often to themselves. However, an unbiased examination of this scripture proves that it is clearly directed initially to Israel. The very nature of the gifts they bring to Israel identify the nations as Arabic (Muslim) nations. The prediction is that in the Last Days the whole world will be covered in gross black spiritual darkness into which God will direct a powerful shining light that will be  focused directly upon Jerusalem.  This scripture may infer a spiritual darkness emanating from Islam, that will only be alleviated by a brilliant light shining on Jerusalem which will also illuminate Israel. This light will draw the attention of all nations on earth towards Jerusalem and Israel, which is where God will be at the time we are looking towards.

Many People From Muslim Nations Will Come To Jerusalem

Isaiah 60 also reveals that many worshippers of Yahweh will travel from Arabia  to Jerusalem to worship Yahweh the true and living God.

Isaiah 60:6-7 (NKJV)
The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD.
All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory.

Isaiah 60:13-16 (NKJV)

13  “The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary; And I will make the place of My feet glorious.
14  Also the sons of those who afflicted you Shall come bowing to you, And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15  “Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, So that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, A joy of many generations.
16  You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, And milk the breast of kings; You shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

Many of the nations mentioned in these verses are obviously Arabic and Islamic ones. The mention of camels and dromedaries etc, also confirms this. They are described as bringing gold and incense together with young rams, all of which are obviously costly offerings for Jehovah. As I was editing this message about  the enormity of Israel’s amazing victory in Zechariah 12:8-10, I became aware that I was over emphasizing the role that Israel’s Defense Force would play. As I prayerfully considered this further, I was made aware that Israel’s military will play a truly amazing role, putting great fear into the hearts of all her enemies. However, ultimately it would be a remarkable supernatural victory achieved solely by God and far above the scope that any human army on earth could ever produce. The role of the IDF would be extremely minimal compared with the maximum supernatural contribution of God. This would ensure that the total credit for the victory will go to Almighty God. Every nation on earth will be forced to concede that it was a victory far beyond what any human army could achieve. The sheer magnitude of this event will convince the world that only God could have produced this victory. They would have to recognize that the victory over these enemies, who far exceeded the size of Israel’s forces, could only be achieved with the supernatural help that only the almighty God could bring to bear. This predicted victory will have the power to completely demoralize millions of Muslims making them realize that Yahweh is the only true God of the universe, reigning over all the false gods of the nations. Their reaction will be to closely examine the proofs of Yahweh’s supremacy, and earnestly call on Him in their bewildered distress. This will ultimately bring millions of former Muslims into the Kingdom of God together with the former devotees of all other false gods.

The prophet clearly states that the “Angel of the Lord” would go before the Israeli army thus leading the way to a glorious victory.  I believe this will be the Messiah in the person of the Angel of the Lord, who in typical Israeli fashion will take the leading role by going before the Israeli forces. In assuming this role, He obviously provides the strategy, inspiration and strength which leads to an amazing Israeli victory. It will be His strategy and inspiration that will afford Israel this remarkable and powerful victory.  The enormity of this victory will dramatically demonstrate to the whole world the supernatural power of the God of eternity. This authoritative demonstration will convince all the nations on earth of the utter supremacy of the true God. This demonstration will turn the tide of all human history towards the true God. I must admit that the possibility that such a visitation and harvest would begin in Israel has greatly challenged my own mind. I am still praying and searching for definite answers to this vital possibility, but I am certainly not denying or retreating from this likelihood.  I believe that the Bible has so much evidence to support this prospect.

The first question is obviously, “Will there actually be an End Times revival?”  Joel 2:28 and other references would confirm that there will be such a worldwide spiritual visitation. This is a very clear statement of God’s purpose in these Last Days.

Joel 2:28 It shall come to pass in the last days that will pour out My Spirit on all flesh.

There are several other questions that naturally arise. Amongst these are “When might  this happen?”  Further questions are, “How and where might this happen?”  Obviously the Bible is the only place where we could find utterly  reliable answers to these important questions.. Now I am asking you to join me in this important search for a truly reliable answer from the Bible. Will you also prayerfully search your Bible to find a Biblical answer to these important questions? Most Christians would be extremely surprised to discover that an End Time outpouring of the Holy Spirit might come initially upon the citizens of Israel, but is this not exactly what the Bible predicts?  If so, what is actually predicted to happen as a result of such an event?  Please allow me to share what I believe I have been discovering.

It is amazing to realize that although Zechariah 12 was written approximately 2,500 years ago it has not yet been widely recognized as a literal prophecy that is actually soon to be fulfilled. Nor has the fullest extent of the prophecy yet been recognized. How would we know this to be prophetically true?  It has never yet happened that Israel in unity has gazed favourably upon the One who was historically wounded in Jerusalem. However, now in the 21st century, the enemies who are sitting on Israel’s borders are who making continuous ominous threats to attack and conquer Israel, are all Islamic nations fanatically committed to conquering Israel or dying in the attempt. These threats which are emanating mostly from Iran, are evidently fully supported by several Islamic nations sitting even closer to Israel’s borders. Zechariah predicts that these nations will launch a fierce End Time attack on Israel. Fortunately God promises to make Jerusalem an immovable rock that those nations will be unable to move. God will not only defend Jerusalem against this attack, He will also soundly defeat the attack  and destroy all the enemy armies involved in the attack.  Ultimately, after defending Jerusalem, God will begin to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. However, this amazing victory will not be the most astonishing aspect of this strategic time, for immediately after the victory, and the destruction of the enemy, Zechariah predicts that God will pour out His Holy Spirit on all the descendants of King David producing a national spirit of repentance on the whole nation.  One can only imagine what such an outpouring will ultimately accomplish, but it will certainly have a tremendously powerful effect on all the enemy nations too.

Zechariah 12: 10 “Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died.

Immediately after such an amazing, supernatural victory that will obviously rescue Israel from complete annihilation, why would there not be such a time of national mourning and deepest  grief?  Such mourning and grief could not be for Israel, because the nation had just been gloriously delivered from the threat of complete annihilation. This victory will cause the greatest ever rejoicing and jubilation that Israel has  ever experienced. I believe such mourning could only have been caused  by the realization that their deliverer was none other than their Messiah in the form of the “Angel of the Lord.” Zechariah predicted that God would victoriously “go before” Israel. This promise had been gloriously fulfilled. Their recognition of this Angel will identify him as the promised Messiah of Israel.  Obviously He had appeared in Israel to initially rescue them from the greatest calamity of their long history. However His coming will also precipitate other astounding effects. I personally believe that He will then remain in the midst of Israel to participate in the astounding prophetic events that were predicted in Zechariah 12:10-12 and following. I believe the ensuing events are foretold and confirmed in several other Bible prophecies.

A situation is presently developing in which most nations on earth greatly favour the concept of decisively dividing the land of  Israel in order to create a State for the so called Palestinians. These nations believe they are making this decision and policy of their own accord. Their constant cry is that there will be no peace in the Middle East or the world, until Israel is conquered, and their land used to establish a new  Palestinian State. The nations that side with the Palestinians think they are gathering against Israel of their own political accord, but actually God is bringing them together to judge and destroy them.

Joel 3:2. I will gather the armies of the world into the valley of judgment, there will I judge them, for harming My people My special possession,  for scattering My people among the nations and dividing up My Land.

God’s Encouragement To Israel

Joel 2:13b Return to the Lord your God for He is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.

Joel 2:18 Then the Lord will pity His people and jealously guard the honour of His Land.

Joel describes God roaring and thundering not from heaven, but from Jerusalem and Zion, both of which are earthly locations. God’s presence in the person of the Messiah will obviously be in those places at that prophetic moment.

Joel 3:16 The Lord’s voice will roar from Zionand thunder from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth shall shake, But the Lord will be a refuge for His people, A strong fortress for the people of Israel.  Then you will know that I, the Lord your God live in Zion My holy mountain.  Jerusalem will be holy forever, and foreign armies will never conquer her again.

Joel 3:20 But Judah will be filled with people forever, and Jerusalem will endure through all generations.
3:21 I will pardon My people’s crimes, which I have not yet pardoned and I, the Lord will make My home in Jerusalem with My People.

Surely these verses describe a tremendous victory for Israel over the international forces of Islam, which suffer an ultimate and disastrous defeat causing them to retreat in confusion and shame. I believe that after this overwhelming defeat, a multitude of Islamic devotees will recognize their error and surrender to the true God of the universe.

Wars And Rumours Of Wars Before The End Times: Could an EMP attack be a part of the End Times?

At this very moment the whole population of the USA is in mental turmoil regarding North Korea’s threats of nuclear missiles that could be aimed at USA. They are all distressed with the dangerous rhetoric being exchanged between the American President, and the leader of North Korea.  What might be the outcome of this dangerous situation?

Just prior to Christ’s return to heaven, his disciples asked Him a leading question. In part of  His response to the disciples’ question, which was “Tell us what will be the sign of your (Second) coming and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3), Jesus responded, “And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars” (Matthew 24:6).

Jesus also said in Matthew 24:22.

New International Version
“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

Because of Jesus’ words in this passage, whenever there is an explosion of conflict, especially in the vicinity of Israel, many people begin to wonder if the new war is appearing which is the  sign of the end times. If only people would read the rest of Matthew 24:6.

An EMP bomb would be a nuclear or hydrogen bomb dropped from several thousand feet and configured to explode several thousand feet above a target

Without delving too deeply into the actual science, ectromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack would essentially fry electric circuits and knock out electricity in the widely affected area. Depending on how wide and for how long an area loses electricity, the effects of an EMP attack could be devastating. So much of the world relies upon electricity. Communications, banking, and transportation would be severely impacted.

The Bible does not specifically predict an EMP attack in the end times. Questions concerning an EMP attack in the end times are similar to questions concerning a nuclear attack in the end times. Does Biblical End Times prophecy allow for it? Yes. Does Biblical End Times prophecy explicitly predict it? No. The Bible predicts war in the end times, and another world war is definitely possible. However, the Bible does not predict any specific modern weapons that will be used in the End times conflicts.

If EMP attacks were launched worldwide, rendering all technology useless, the world would essentially revert to a state comparable to that of 2,000 years ago. This would mean that the Biblical references to swords, horses, etc, in the end times wars could be understood literally (Isaiah 2:4Ezekiel 38:15Revelation 14:20). But this is speculation. Most interpreters of Bible prophecy believe the Word of God is simply describing the End Times wars figuratively, using terminology familiar to the people who lived at the time the prophecies were written.

So, could an EMP attack be a part of the End Times? Definitely. Does the Bible explicitly predict that an electromagnetic pulse will return the world to the Dark Ages during the end times? No.

Detonating a thermonuclear warhead 400km above Washington would instantly fry most of the nation’s power grid  and electronics. The idea is not about melting a city, setting enormous fires and irradiating vast tracks of terrain .It’s about eliminating a nation’s entire infrastructure in a single flash. There’s little surprise that North Korean state media has been lauding and testing the power of Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP).

This is where the gamma radiation of a high-altitude nuclear blast interacts with the ionosphere — a blanket of electrons and electrically charged particles surrounding the Earth  to send a series of electromagnetic pulses spearing into the ground below. Once this burst of radiation strikes the ground it can induce strong currents  particularly in electrical cables and phone lines. This can overload and destroy electrical networks, as well as cause delicate circuit boards to fuse. An entire economy can be brought to a standstill in nanoseconds. In the words of former director of the CIA, James Woolsey, it would bring the United States “to a cold, dark halt”.

Electric Warfare

It’s an effect similar to that of Earth being struck by a serious solar storm, or  on a much smaller scale  when lightning causes a surge in a power grid. North Korea’s state news agency recently commented on just such a tactic. It follows a series of similar observations about the power of EMP in July 2017. The latest statement boasts North Korea’s new bomb “is a multifunctional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated even at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP attack.”

It’s a use clearly on Kim Jong-un’s mind. But it’s not an attack without human cost. It would bring “widespread and long lasting disruption and damage to the critical infrastructures that underpin the fabric of US society,” a 2008 US Congress report warns. The last time anything on this scale happened was in 1859 when the world was just beginning to discover the use of electrical technologies. The EMP from an enormous solar storm overloaded the simple telegraph wires then in use to transmit morse code, setting the paper telegrams at their terminals on fire.  Things would be infinitely far worse today. “Two thirds of the US population would likely perish from starvation, disease, and societal breakdown,” Woolsey warned US Congress in 2014. “Other experts estimate the likely loss to be closer to 90 per cent.”

Infrastructure Eliminated

Hospitals would be without power. Essential services — electricity, gas, water, sewage, communications — would all be offline. Emergency services would be unable to respond. Food production and distribution networks would collapse. Computers. Smart phones. Car ignitions. Pacemakers. Any form of delicate electronics within the pulse’s effective range would cease to function. But the greatest damage would be to the power grid itself. Power stations and network transformers would be burnt out. And the effect of a high-altitude EMP burst would not be localised.

1.4 megaton US hydrogen bomb detonated 500km above the Pacific in 1962 caused lights to flare-out in Honolulu, more than 2000km away. It also knocked-out eight satellites. A weapon of the magnitude tested by North Korea if well positioned  burn out the power grid of a large part of the mainland United States. Repairing the damage would take years. And delivering such an attack would actually be much easier for Kim Jong-un’s hermit state.

A Deadly Easy Option

Such a high-altitude thermonuclear attack does not require the technical skills necessary to enable a warhead to survive re-entry to the Earth’s atmosphere, cope with the heat of enormous speeds — and still hit its specific target. Perhaps this is why the devastating power of EMP attack has again appeared in North Korean propaganda broadcasts. “I can exploit it in high-altitude areas for strategic purposes and (inflict) EMP attacks on vast areas,” Kim Jong-un declared back in July. In 2015, North Korean propaganda boasted it could destroy all electronic devices in South Korea and Japan by detonating a 100 kiloton bomb 100km above Seoul. “If we lower the altitude to 60-70km, we can make the EMP effect only the southern part of the Korean Peninsula,” it declared. “(EMP) can neutralize all advanced electronic guided weapons and destroy aircraft carrier fleet at once”. The warhead it tested yesterday is estimated to be in the vicinity of 50 to 120 kilotons. But such an attack would not give Kim Jong-un a victory.

A Mad World

The nuclear arsenals of the United States are hardened against such a pulse. It’s also one of the reasons so much effort and money is invested on near-invisible and widely dispersed ballistic missile submarines. The instant a North Korean ICBM was detected to be on a trajectory capable of delivering such a high-altitude blow, a retaliatory firestorm of nuclear warheads would almost certainly be unleashed on North Korea itself. Such is the grim nature of Mutually Assured Destruction the Cold War philosophy, that compelled cool minds to avert the catastrophe that could have resulted from the likes of the 1960s Cuban missile crisis.

A Glorious Transformation Coming Soon

Zechariah 12:7-8

8 In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them.  NKJV

His identification is verified in this instance because when Israel looks upon Him in verse 10, they recognize Him as  Yeshua i.e. the One who was once pierced at Calvary. Did Jesus then say to Israel Matthew 23:39.

39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'”  NKJV

What time or occasion could be more timely or appropriate  for Israel as a nation to repent and say ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!‘” This could be the very time that Israel as a nation goes into a time of deepest repentance and mourning concerning Yeshua who has just delivered  Israel from seriously threatened destruction. It could also be the time of her acceptance of  Yeshua as her Messiah.  I believe that following this timely appearance, Yeshua will remain in the midst of Jerusalem.

Joel 2:27-32

27 Then you will know that I am here among my people of Israel and that I alone am the LORD your God. My people will never again be disgraced like this.

28 “Then after I have poured out my rains again, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.

29 In those days, I will pour out my Spirit even on servants, men and women alike.

30 “I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth — blood and fire and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon will turn bloodred before that great and terrible day of the LORD arrives.

32 And anyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. There will be people on Mount Zion in Jerusalem who escape, just as the LORD has said. These will be among the survivors whom the LORD has called. NLT

 Zechariah 8:3

3 “Thus says the LORD:’I will return to Zion, And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.  Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the LORD of hosts, The Holy Mountain.’ NKJV

 The Coming Transformation:

The fulfillment of this amazing prophecy in Zechariah 12 will initiate  tremendous changes throughout the whole world. The transformation will initially be a spiritual one but the immediate repercussions will be military, religious, social and political. Glorious transformations will occur in the aftermath of Holy Spirit outpourings firstly on Israel (Zechariah 12:10) afterwards upon all flesh (Joel 2:28).

  1. The Messianic Transformation Of  Israel.  Zech 12:10, Rev 6 etc, Israel will become a Messianic nation symbolized by the 144,000 in Revelation 7. They will comprise an army of servants of God that together with Messianic Gentile believers will bear faithful witness of the kingdom.
  2. Transformed Spiritual Atmosphere around the world of awe and wonder. The change in the heavens will transmit to the earth changing the conscious awareness of the nations. Every nation will become conscious of the God of the universe.
  3. A Transformation Of The Church. Joel 2:28 Spirit on all flesh, Acts 3:21, God’s presence in the midst (centre) of Israel (Joel 2:27) will precede the promised outpouring of the Spirit on all flesh. The proclamation and harvesting of the kingdom of God will increase exponentially.
  4. Transition Of The Church Into Kingdom Mode. Luke 12:3232 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom NKJV The universal Church will be transformed inwardly and outwardly. It will be unrecognizable to the traditional Church of this present era.
  5. World Wide Influx Of Muslim, Hindus Etc become believers in Messiah. Powerful shockwaves will reverberate around the religious world as multitudes of former adherents from all false religions accede to a new revelation of Jehovah God and His Messiah.
  6. A Kingdom Witness Around The World. Matt 24:14. The Gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed powerfully around the entire earth with amazing supernatural results.

I believe that this is a message from God to His Church universal and to all nations on earth. It is a subject that should be closely examined by every Church and every Christian. I would challenge every preacher who reads this article to preach on it, either to urge people to pray for Israel or to deny its validity,  relevance and importance. One way or another, make a firm decision about this. Whilst certainly not wanting to suggest any time lines for the immediate future, I do feel that we are much closer to radical times than we have ever realized. Events may well become accelerated and the future that has always seemed eons away may actually be now on the proverbial doorstep. The sudden emergence of the earthly Kingdom of God could eventuate much sooner than we have anticipated and we need to be actively conscious of this possibility.

The Throne Of David

The King of this illustrious Kingdom will occupy the throne of  David in Jerusalem. The Angel Gabriel made two promises to Mary. First – she would be the mother of a Holy Child. Secondly – this child would one day sit on the throne of His father David. The first promise has already been fulfilled. The second remains to be fulfilled. It will be fulfilled soon, because the God of  Israel by His only begotten Son Jesus, has started to bring His First-born son Israel back to the Promised Land of Israel. The people of Israel, the land of  Israel, the nation of Israel and the city of Jerusalem, are being prepared for the Coming of the Lord.

“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”  (Luke 1:26-33 NKJV)

Should Christians Support Israel?

Let’s debunk seven of their most popular myths for why Christians should not support the nation of Israel.

Myth #1: “The Jews killed Jesus!”

Those who accuse the Jews of killing Jesus seem to have purposefully forgotten that the Bible says, “Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus”(Acts 4:27-28).

So, not only did both Jews and Gentiles participate in murdering Jesus, but in truth, we are all sinners, and therefore all of us are responsible for Jesus dying on the cross. But, reality check, Jesus Himself clearly stated that He alone laid down His life, and that no one took it from Him (John 10:15-18).

Myth #2: “The Jews have been disinherited because of their unbelief.”

The Jews may have been evicted from their land — twice — due to their rebellion against God. But, as Psalm 105 explains, God guaranteed in His Abrahamic Covenant that the land of Israel unconditionally and forever belongs to the children of Jacob. And, as the Apostle Paul argued in Romans 9-11, “Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself… Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all!”

And so, no, God has neither disinherited the Jewish people nor revoked His land covenants.

Myth #3: “The Church has replaced Israel and now receives her inheritance.”

Not according to the Apostle Paul! He tells the story of an olive tree whose branches were pruned off due to unbelief, and wild vines grafted on (Romans 11). But, when the natural branches began believing again, they would be grafted back on the tree. Salvation may have come to the wild olive vines — the Church — but God still has salvation planned for the natural branches — a believing Israel who will call Jesus Savior.

Myth #4: “The Jews regathering back to the land of Israel can’t be from God because they haven’t repented and accepted Jesus as their Messiah.”

The Jews returning to Israel in unbelief is exactly what God foretold would happen. Isaiah prophesied the Jews would be regathered a second time from the nations of the world, and Ezekiel made it clear that the Jews would regather in unbelief in order for God Himself to give them a new heart towards Him (Isaiah 11:10-12; Ezekiel 36:22-28). It’s no accident of history that a people dispossessed from their country for 1,900 years could ever have kept their ethnic identity and rebirthed their nation two millennia later. Such a thing has never happened! And this is the nation of the Bible we’re talking about. Therefore, the regathering of the Jews can only be a miracle from God.

Myth #5: “To support Israel is to support every action of the Israeli government.”

Nobody supports every action of any government, even their own. Supporting Israel is to support the redemptive work God is doing in bringing a remnant of their people to salvation in Christ and ultimately into the fulfilment of His covenants.

Myth #6: “The Jews stole the Palestinians’ land and live there illegally.”

First off, the Abrahamic Covenant grants the Jews the eternal deed to the land of Israel. Second, when the Jews began returning in the early 20th Century, there was no such thing as a Palestinian. The handful of Arabs living in that wasteland sold the land back to the Jews at exorbitant prices. And third, Israel was created legally in response to a United Nations declaration passed in November 1947, which authorized the establishment of a Jewish state in the land the Romans had renamed Palestine. You can’t steal land that’s already legally yours!

Myth #7: “To support Israel is to hate the Palestinian people.”

Contrary to Arab propaganda, those who call themselves Palestinians enjoy more freedoms and rights in Israel than if they lived in any Muslim nation. For it’s not the Jews who hate and abuse the Palestinians, but their own terrorist leaders who steal billions of their foreign aid and deny refugees access back to their own home countries of Syria and Jordan. Why, the Palestinians have been afforded several opportunities since 1948 to create another Palestinian state besides Jordan, but each time they have rejected those offers and instead responded with violence. Why? Because their ultimate goal is the annihilation of Israel. So, who exactly is hating who here?

With those myths busted, let’s look at some of the reasons why Christians should support Israel:

1. Democracy

The nation of Israel is the only Western-style democracy in a sea of Islamic tyranny. Supporting Israel is to support the only nation in the Middle East which offers religious freedom and human rights to women.

2. Defense

Israel protects the West and Christianity by standing as the first line of defense against violent, radical Islam.

3. Economics

Israel contributes to the world a mind-boggling amount of food, medicines, and cutting-edge technologies that raise the standard of living throughout the world.

4. Blessing

When it comes to supporting the nation of Israel, God promised in Genesis 12, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you…” Supporting Israel incurs God’s blessing.

5. Biblical

It rather goes without saying that it is biblically correct for Christians to support God. Since God loves the Jewish people and wants them to return to Him, then shouldn’t Christians want this as well? Loving Israel expresses our love for God.

6. Prophetic

And finally, whether you love or hate the nation of Israel, or even the Jewish people, regardless of what we mere mortals think — Bible prophecy will be fulfilled. God’s will will be done, and there’s just no stopping it. After all, who could ever stand against the Living God and expect to win (Psalm 76:7; Hebrews 10:31)?

So, in conclusion, it’s not “Should Christians really support Israel?” but rather — Christians must support Israel!
